Corrective Exercises

Corrective exercises are specific, prescribed movements chosen from an examination of how you move — designed to stretch what is tight, strengthen what is underworking, and retrain the patterns that keep a complaint coming back. They are the between-visits half of good care.

Hands-on care can restore motion, but what your body does with that motion between visits is where lasting change happens. A joint freed up on the table returns to old habits quickly unless the muscles around it learn to support something better.

At Integrative Chiropractic, exercise prescriptions are deliberately small and specific — usually a handful of movements matched to your findings, not a generic packet. Dr Lionel Leger walks you through each one until it feels right, covers the sets, reps, and the sensations that mean "working" versus "stop", and adjusts the plan as your capacity grows.

The movements themselves are chosen to fit your life: most take a few minutes and need no equipment beyond a floor, a wall, or a resistance band. Desk workers get resets they can do between meetings; athletes get progressions that speak the language of their sport.

Done consistently, corrective exercise is how visits add up to something durable. Schedule an evaluation and leave with a plan that is actually yours.
